Îïèñàíèå: The Grizzly I was a Canadian built M4A1 Sherman. Some 188 were produced by the Montreal Locomotive Works between 1943 and 1944. They didn’t see front-line service during WW2 and in 1954 fifty-five were sold to Portugal, who used them until the 1980s. Many of these ex-Portuguese Grizzlys have survived in museums and private collections, and this is presumably one of them. It is painted to represent a Sherman of the 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry, a part of the 11th Armoured Division of the British Army. The unit took part in Operation Goodwood during the Battle of Caen in July 1944. M'emorial de Caen Caen, Normandy, France 8th July 2022
