ôîòî: Fuselage section from unknown B-17 Flying Fortress. D-Day Wings museum, 10-7-2022

Îïèñàíèå: This fuselage section is from a B-17 Flying Fortress and comes from immediately behind the wing. It is remarkably complete and is the right shape, which implies it comes from an airframe which was scrapped, not one which crashed or crash landed. It is marked as ‘Carentan 1944’, which might help to tie down an identity. There are also B-17 turrets within the museum which may have come from the same airframe.
