Îïèñàíèå: Yugoslavian 1980’s armoured personnel carrier with air-defence capability The BOV was an indigenous Yugoslavian vehicle, with the second generation now being produced in Serbia. BOV stands for ‘Borbeno Oklopno Vozilo’ which translates as Combat Armoured Vehicle. It was designed to carry a crew of two and eight infantrymen and had a top speed of 59mph. Over 560 were built and many still serve with the countries formally part of Yugoslavia, as well as a small number in Bangladesh. This example is a BOV-3 which is a specific air-defence variant armed with a triple-barrelled M55A4B1 20mm cannon. It was recovered by French forces in Bosnia during 1996 and is on display in the ‘Warsaw Pact 1945-1991’ hall. Mus'ee des Blind'es, Saumur, Pays de la Loire, France 11th July 2022
