Îïèñàíèå: c/n 263 Built in 1980 as G-BGKE for British Airways, who based it in Manchester with the name ‘County of West Midlands’. It carried out the last British Airways One-Eleven flight before being sold to Ferranti in July 1991. Used for radar trials work, it joined the Defence Research Agency (DERA) in March 1994 and was given the British military serial ZH763. Retired in 2012, by which time DERA had become QinetiQ, it had operated from Bedford, Farnborough and Boscombe Down. It flew to Newquay for preservation on 26th April 2013, this being the last One-Eleven flight in UK airspace. Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre Newquay Airport, Cornwall, UK. 27th July 2022 Note: - Sadly the museum was forced to close in October 2022 and the collection dispersed. ZH763 was inevitably broken up, although the front 60ft of the fuselage was saved by the Solent Sky museum in Southampton. That leaves just three complete BAC 1-11s in the UK, G-ASYD at Brooklands, G-AVMO at East Fortune and G-AVMU at Duxford.
