Hi everyone! I went on a small winter trip to Yamagata prefecture the other week. I've never seen so much snow in my life! I think this has been one of my favourite trips so far, Ginzan Onsen had been on my to-do list for a while, and it was absolutely magical to see it in person! For anyone (that is a foreigner) in Japan and planning a trip to the Tohoku area I recommend getting the JR east pass to travel. That's what I did for this trip, it's a 5-day pass with unlimited rides on the JR train, and for yen20,000 I definitely think it was worth it :). JR East:
