Uralsk (Kazakh Oral; until 1775 - Yaitsky town) is the oldest surviving city in the European part of Kazakhstan. Uralsk is located in Western Kazakhstan, on the Ural River. The administrative center of the West Kazakhstan region is located on the northern edge of the Caspian lowland. The area of the city within the city limits is 209.83 km^2, within the territory of the Ural City Administration is 731.33 km^2. The city's population is 357,704 people. 83 different nationalities and nationalities are represented.
