фото: Martin B-26G-25-MA Marauder ‘131576 / AN-Z’ “Dinah Might” (really 44-68219)

Описание: c/n unknown Built at Martin’s Baltimore factory in early 1945, 44-68219 was supplied directly to France under a lend-lease agreement and joined the French Air Force in late May 1945. In 1951 she became a technical training airframe with Air France and remained with them until donated to the Mus'ee de l'air at Le Bourget during 1967. Stored until 1993, she was then completely restored and painted in French Air Force markings before going on display at Le Bourget in 1998. In January 2011 the museum signed a long-term loan agreement with the Utah Beach D-Day museum and she was moved here in May that year. One of only six complete surviving Marauders and the only example outside the United States, she is now painted to represent ‘41-31576’ a B-26B-15-MA which was flown by Major David Dewhurst on D-Day, but which was eventually shot down by anti-aircraft fire near Bernkastel, Germany, on 18th November 1944.
