Описание: German WW2 era self-propelled anti-tank gun Ordnance Inventory Designation: - Sd.Kfz.162/1 To speed up production towards the end of the war, Alkett began building Jagdpanzer IV on the standard Panzer IV chassis which made them taller and heavier than those on the purpose-built chassis. 278 were produced between August 1944 and March 1945, most of which served on the Eastern Front. This is the only surviving example (serial No 120539) and was captured by Free French forces shortly before the end of the war. It carries noticeable hull damage including several holes, one of which still has the shell in it! It is on display in the ‘Germany 1934-1945’ hall.
