Îïèñàíèå: c/n 883 Built in 1967 as a Super VC10-1154 for East African Airways with the Kenyan civil registration 5Y-ADA. Sold to the Ministry of Defence in May 1977, it was converted to a VC10 K.3 tanker and given the British military serial ZA148. Served with 101 Squadron of the Royal Air Force, based at RAF Brize Norton. Retired in August 2013 and flown to Newquay for preservation. It was put on the US civil register as N148ZA in January 2022, although so far it shows no signs of going anywhere! Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre Newquay Airport, Cornwall, UK. 27th July 2022 Note: - Sadly the museum was forced to close in October 2022 and the collection dispersed. ZA148 was broken up in September 2023 with the nose going to St Athan. Only two complete Super VC10s now survive, G-ASGC at Duxford and ZA150 at Dunsfold.
